First, we’d love for you to tell us a little bit about yourself?
“I’ve always been interested in trends and how they’re reflected in store product selection. I love clothes and specifically the colour pink.”
“My love for the colour pink was something that led to my interest in the role, as I noticed that pink would often go in and out of trend depending on the season, or from the influence of popular films like Barbie.”
“Growing up I wanted to work in fashion and what I like about TK Maxx is that on top of womenswear they do a variety of other things like kitchenware and homeware.”
What motivated you to apply for your role?
“TK Maxx is the largest retailer in the UK that's built around the off-price business model.”
“When I was a young girl, if I wasn’t buying second hand, TK Maxx was the best place to go for affordable designer, so it seemed like the perfect role for me.”
What have you learned from going through the process?
“To be less afraid of face-to-face interviews, as they’re actually one of my strengths.”
What are you most proud of about your journey?
“I’m most proud of how I handled the interviews.”
“When I accepted my role, I got feedback that I was passionate and well informed about the company.”
What are your tips for people looking to follow in your footsteps?
“I would make sure to know as much about the company as possible.
The more you know, the easier it is to feel prepared for an interview. Research their business model and compare it to other companies. Google is truly the best resource!”
Tell us about the future. What’s next?
“As this is my first job, I’m mainly focusing on performing as well as I can in this role.
I’m really excited to look more into womenswear and trend assessment.
I’m also really excited to learn from others and grow as an individual.”
