The role

You will be supporting the Internal Communications Manager to ensure that everyone at Withers gets the information they need in a variety of formats including the intranet, emails, events, TV screens and video. This is a really important role in helping to ensure our 1,500 people stay connected across our global offices and to enhance collaboration, engagement and the overall success of the firm.

Writing, editing, being creative and working with people at all levels are at the heart of this role. You will also need to be organised, with excellent attention to detail and adept at using systems and technology. There is plenty of room to grow in the role and shape it over time to further improve the way we deliver internal communications at Withers and make a real difference to the firm.

The role will sit within the firm's Marketing, Business Development and Communications team, and as such may be involved in contributing to some of our other team projects from time to time.

Areas of focus and responsibilities

  • Proactively source internal communications content from around the firm's international teams, with a particular focus on client success stories
  • Write, edit and upload internal communications articles to the intranet
  • Collect and coordinate content for our global internal news screens (Withers TV)
  • Assist with internal communications to support our business responsibility initiatives
  • Assist with internal firm-wide events by helping to gather content and manage logistics
  • Assist with firm-wide campaigns by gathering content and preparing material
  • Support the intranet editor network (about 60 people) and train new editors
  • Review and update intranet content and ensure editors are checking their content
  • Maintain the back-end of the intranet and the mobile app, working with the supplier and our IT team
  • Review intranet analytics, create quarterly reports and other reports as required
  • Help to maintain an intranet development roadmap, including exploring and implementing new features
  • Assist with improving global engagement with the intranet
  • Monitor the communications inbox and respond to queries
  • Assist the Internal Communications Manager with any other tasks as required

  • 9.30am – 5.30pm but flexibility is a must
