Job purpose

The role of a Graduate Fire Engineer is to provide Fire Engineering consultancy services alongside Senior Fire Engineers on projects and directly liaise with clients and other interested parties, to effectively meet client’s expectations and actively contribute to the Company’s continued success.

Key responsibilities and accountability

  • Assist the Fire Engineering division to deliver the organisation’s Fire Engineering Consultancy
    services.
  • Represent Wintech for the delivery of Fire Engineering consultancy services.
  • Be a Fire Engineering advocate that drives positive innovation and change across the group and
    wider industry.
  • Project management of Fire Engineering client instructions.
  • Ensure compliance and stay current with all applicable fire regulations, guidance, and
    requirements. Keep abreast of pending and future changes.
  • Working with clients and engineers to project manage fire engineering projects.
  • Informing and supporting design aspirations, functionality and architectural form throughout the
    design process.
  • Maintaining responsibility for the financial performance and delivery of your projects.
  • Representing Wintech at design team meetings, work with approval authorities on designs and
    proposals.
  • Providing appropriate and sustainable fire engineering design solutions to clients.
  • Reviewing calculations including smoke modelling and evacuation analysis.
  • Managing relationships with internal and external clients, engineers and other stakeholders.
  • Undertake site inspections on existing buildings and new builds to appraise fire safety provisions
  • Writing reports and assist in making remedial measure recommendations where required
  • Provide technical input into EWS1 façade assessments and FRAEW’s.

Key skills and experience
