This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic, friendly, and supportive team in the beautiful county of Wiltshire, and to work alongside educational psychologists (EPs) in supporting Wiltshire’s children and families.

About the role

As an Assistant Psychologist, you will primarily work with children in the Early Years and the adults who support them. You will contribute to the Education, Health, and Care Needs Assessment process by collecting information through observation, assessment, and structured interviews, and you will participate in collaborative co-construction meetings alongside EPs, parents and carers, and other key adults.

Educational psychologists will provide you with training, supervision, and support to enable you need to carry out this work. You will be a valued member of the EP team and, as well as regular access to opportunities for professional development, you will benefit from the support of a highly skilled, experienced, and caring team of professionals.

Opportunities to engage in broader work alongside the EP team will also become available, and the team will be keen to support you to progress on your career path.

About you

We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate candidates who are keen to develop their experience and skills through working within an Educational Psychology service.

You will hold an honours degree in psychology and will have experience of working with children and young people. They will be skilled at building relationships with both children and adults, and will have strong verbal and written communication skills.
