An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Property Assistant to join our accomplished Housebuilder Team based in Grimsby.
The successful applicant will provide administrative assistance for Fee Earners dealing with property transactions involving residential sales and purchases for both individuals and companies, together with housebuilders in relation to their transactions whereby they are purchasing their customer’s existing home in part exchange for the sale of a new property together with wider support for team in respect of the plot sales.
Duties will include
- Using a bespoke IT and case management system to open and set up new plot sale/purchase purchase/part exchange sale and general residential sale and purchase files promptly and accurately.
- Issuing of contract documentation on all matter types ensuring that all letters and documents are correctly produced and issued to relevant parties.
- Receiving and where applicable reviewing contract documentation and ensuring that all relevant information is inputted into the system.
- Handling email and telephone queries from clients or third parties professionally and efficiently and referring to a Fee Earner when required.
- Using the system to deal with financial aspects of matters including but not always limited to preparing accounts, completion statements and bank transfer forms.
- Ensuring that the system is up to date and that all fields within the matters are completed where appropriate.
- Working closely with all members of the wider Housebuilder team and assisting where possible and necessary to ensure that workload is prioritised and actioned efficiently across the team.

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate
- Proven ability to be able to work accurately.
- An ability to plan and prioritise work activities.
- Balancing requirements of separate Fee Earners.
- Ability to show initiative and build positive working relationships with colleagues.
- Excellent communication and client care skills.
- Excellent organisation and administration skills.
Whilst not essential, experience in property administration will be an advantage.
