Technology Overview
As a summer Intern, the programme will empower you to build leadership skills and overall business acumen while gaining a rounded and comprehensive exposure to Wells Fargo.
In the UK and EMEA region, you will be joining Wells Fargo at an exciting time in supporting our International Business Strategy and Technology Roadmap. You will have an opportunity to work with a range of Technology teams that cover Capital Markets, Commercial Banking, Payments, Finance, Compliance and Risk, Infrastructure Technology, Cyber Security and Technology Controls. You will also get to learn about the latest technological advancements on areas such as cloud, data, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and robotic automation and applied innovation working with the Business, Risk and Technology colleagues to create business value.
What the Programme Offers
The Technology Summer Intern Programme is designed to provide undergraduate students an in-depth understanding of the day-to-day responsibilities of the Technology team. Summer Interns receive a comprehensive professional and educational experience through on-the-job training by joining a business group and working alongside team members who are experts in their fields. In addition, the programme offers organised activities that allow Summer Interns to receive analytical training, meet senior executives, and network with other participants across business lines.
Technology Summer Interns, depending on the group to which they are assigned, assume responsibilities that may include:
- software development lifecycle
- activities and processes to ensure the Bank can operate in a stable environment for our clients and employees. Learn about the different components of technology infrastructure and processes involved to monitor the performance of applications used
- risk remediation projects to meet regulatory requirements or strategic projects to support international growth and transformation journey. Learn about how projects are executed and tracked
- business services activities including tools to help capture and monitor headcount, cost of technology and key performance and risk metrics that indicate the health of technology applications and infrastructure
- You will learn about technology risk management, cyber security, Agile and other technical and professional leadership capabilities
Programme duration: 10 weeks
Programme Locations : Primary locations include London and Dublin
Required qualifications
- Undergraduate in penultimate or final year of University / Institution
Desired qualifications
- Ability to take on a high-level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using Microsoft Office suite of products
- Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in the financial services industry
