The Graduate Maintenance Engineer is responsible for repairs and maintenance of machinery.
Following significant investment in the manufacturing site, including new industry-leading machinery, the Graduate Maintenance Engineer will play an integral role in ensuring the smooth running of the production line.
Main responsibilities
Repairs
- efficiently diagnose and speedily resolve faults in machinery
- highlight faults, giving an accurate timeline for completion of required work, and providing regular updates on progress
- liaise with suppliers for spare parts, repairs, service and maintenance
- maintain accurate records and documentation
Maintenance
- Assist in implementing a schedule for planned and preventative maintenance
- liaise with external specialists to plan in preventative maintenance
Continuous Improvement
- Assist in developing and implementing a programme of continuous improvement
- to work with on new machinery and process projects as required
- develop new and alternative methods of working to improve manufacturing efficiency
- take a pro-active approach in developing a thorough understanding of all the machinery
- keep up to date on industry developments and look to constantly upskill
Personal attributes
- Relevant Engineering degree - 2:1 or above
- good organisational skills
- excellent time management skills
