    The IS Applications team is seeking to recruit a Reporting Analyst to join their Business Intelligence (BI) team. The role will report to the BI team lead and is based within the Group Business Solutions Division in Belfast.

    Ideally, this person should have experience in data analytics and business reporting. Working as part of a wider IS team, the successful candidate will help support the development and distribution of key business reports as well as the company’s continuous improvement.

    Key responsibilitiesduties

    • Responsible for the delivery and distribution of accurate and timely reports, including queries or incidents arising from these reports.
    • Analyse user requirements; define and design report outputs, enhancements and modifications.
    • Proactively undertake analysis to ensure accuracy and quality of outputs, understand drivers and identify risks/opportunities.
    • Work with development teams and service providers; ensuring implementation of enhancements as well as problem resolution.
    • Manage testing and implementation, ensuring strict systems governance, managing change, test plans and business sign-off.
    • Maintain the accuracy of the helpdesk database of reported problems and the knowledge base of process documentation.
    • Coordinate end-user training documentation and train end users as required.
    • Lead problem resolution; resolving business issues by working with internal teams and cross-functional groups through problem resolution, strategic alignment, partnership development and continuous improvement.

    Preferred skills and experience

    Experience

    • Five GCSE’s or equivalent including Maths and English, grade C or above.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the manipulation of large data sets (e.g. VLOOKUPS, SUMIF, SUMIFS, Pivot tables) or the desire, enthusiasm and aptitude to gain a deep understanding of Excel.
    • Ability to work in a fast-moving and complex environment whilst ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
    • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally.
    • Team player with a can-do attitude.

    Desirable attributes

    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Power Pivot and Power Query.
    • Experience using data modelling and report visualisation tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud/Power BI/Tableau.
    • Coding skills in VBA, DAX, Python or others.
    • Experience in the FMCG industry.
    • Knowledge of SAP BW reporting.

    Additional information

    The role is based within the Group Business Solutions Division in Belfast, however, travel may be required to other Divisions and business stakeholders when necessary.
