We have opportunities to join our busy design team in Belfast for new or recent graduates who are keen to develop their skills in structural engineering. This post will offer the successful applicant an interesting, challenging, and varied workload as well as allowing them to develop personally and professionally as an Engineer.
Your Role:
- Undertake structural design (to EuroCode/BS) in a variety of materials including steelwork, concrete, masonry and timber
- Provide technical assistance to the members of the Structural Engineering team
- Assist in the delivery of projects on time and to budget
- Work under the supervision of the Project Structural Engineer(s) and the Design team leader
- Assist in design reviews and verification checks
- Undertake site visits and surveys
- Ensure compliance with all legislation, regulations and site procedures or instructions
- Liaise with clients, architects, contractors and stakeholders
Qualifications:
Minimum 2:1 degree in the field of Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng Hons / MEng)
Desirable:
- MS Office/ MS Teams skills
- Previous industry work experience
- Experience in the use of Structural Engineering design software including AutoCad
- Commitment to achieving professional qualifications in engineering/chartered status
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated
