As part of our work, we have an exciting opportunity to join our European Category Development & Planning team for a ten-week internship starting this June, with potential to extend. Here, you will gain insight and experience in the food and beverage industry. Through this role, you will have exposure to a highly international corporate environment, working closely with colleagues across Europe, as well as our functional and business partners around the world.

What you'll be doing

You will be supporting our Europe Category Development & Planning through discrete, high-profile projects related to accelerating our progress towards achieving our ambitions. The CDP team at Tate & Lyle Europe is responsible for setting the commercial strategies for ingredient sales into each of our target end-categories, such as Beverages, Confectionary, or Dairy.

Examples of past projects by MBA Interns include an assessment of the market opportunity in Africa and the development of customer-specific strategies and execution plans to strengthen sales team value propositions and clarify right-to-win by product and end category.

Commercial

You will collaborate with the Sales and Technical teams to develop strategically relevant cross-category plans tailored to specific product lines, trends, and customers.

Analytics

You will develop data-driven customer-specific insights from a variety of industry sources (e.g. GlobalData, Mintel) as input to customer-level strategy and execution plan development Quantification of opportunity sizing – using proprietary data and models.

What you'll have

  • Experience working with sales, commercial and product management teams (preferred)
  • Good practical experience in creating and automating analytical models
  • Evidence of collaborating with and influencing senior stakeholders in a commercial / corporate role
  • Creative thinker, easily able to suggest and recommend new ideas

Location

This role will be assigned to our newly renovated head office, 5 Marble Arch, London. We are offering a flexible working for the internship with a mixture of home and office-based working.
