The acquisition of the highly complementary OMNOVA Solutions Inc in April 2020 and Eastman’s Adhesive business in April 2022, has extended the group’s geographic reach, expanded the global platform and will accelerate the further differentiation of the business.
We have operational headquarters in London, UK, and provide customer-focused services from regional centres in Harlow, UK; Marl, Germany; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; and Beachwood, Ohio, USA.

During the programme you will be supported through learning events, mentoring and personal development planning.
Main accountabilities
- Gains experience and senior finance level exposure to the different departments/teams across the entire Finance function. These could include treasury/cash management, accounting/statutory reporting focus, business partnering, internal audit, group finance, tax/VAT
- Expands practical knowledge covering analysis, accounting, reporting, transactional finance and project work through the planned rotations
- Utilises new skills in order to support finance teams with tasks including budgeting, statutory reporting, analysis, modelling, auditing, project management etc
- Develop a broad understanding of Synthomer as a whole, working with and supporting other functions as necessary during the programme.
What are we looking for
- Honours Degree at 2:1 grade and above
- Strong communication skills and team player
- Strong quantitative analytical skills
- Commitment to complete professional exams towards qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA)
- An ability to work through and solve complex problems
- Strong commercial awareness and mindset
- International mobility
- Second language beyond English preferred but not essential
