Overview of the Graduate Scheme

Our two-year Graduate Scheme is designed for those who are ready to own it from day one. Based at one of our UK locations—Aberdeen, Leeds, or Birmingham—you will rotate across multiple UK sites and collaborate with diverse teams. This is your chance to create value by gaining hands-on experience across at least two divisions and becoming part of Sulzer’s mission of operational excellence.

During your rotations, you will gain exposure to key areas such as:

  • LEAN / Continuous Improvement
  • Procurement
  • Quality
  • Planning & Scheduling

What you’ll be doing

  • Team up with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritise, and implement initiatives that boost productivity, enhance quality, and drive cost-efficiency.
  • Take part in transformative projects that create value by optimising systems, processes, and technology.
  • Champion operational excellence and foster a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.
  • Develop robust business cases for capital investments, helping to shape the future of Sulzer.
  • Support Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) to streamline efficiency and output.
  • Rotate across our UK sites and divisions, contributing fresh ideas and seizing opportunities to make a real impact.

What you bring

  • A 2:2 degree or above in supply chain, operations, business management, or a related field.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
  • A solid understanding of business and financial concepts.
  • A proactive, seize opportunities attitude, with a focus on innovation.
  • Adaptability and willingness to travel across the UK and internationally.
  • A valid passport and full UK driving licence.

Key dates to remember

  • Applications close Saturday 30th November (please note, early submission is encouraged as we may close applications sooner if we receive a high volume of interest).
  • We will be reviewing applications throughout December.
  • Screening calls for shortlisted candidates will take place during December.
  • Assessment centre invitations and/or interview requests will be sent out in January 2025.
  • Assessments will be held in February 2025, depending on the location and discipline.
