The role

We are seeking a graduate paralegal to help support and assist our expert and specialist fee earners in conducting a personal injury caseload, ensuring efficiency and excellent client care at all times.

What makes this role great

Personal injury cases often involve individuals who have been injured or wronged in some way. As a paralegal, you play a vital role in helping these individuals seek justice and compensation for their injuries or losses!

You will be engaged in a variety of work including accidents at work, criminal injuries, accidents abroad and road traffic accidents.

You will also be working on credit hire cases which involve the recovery of credit hire charges from at fault insurers. These cases will provide a lot of experience in dealing with litigated cases, including drafting pleadings, taking witness statements, complying with court deadlines and attending trials.

You will have the opportunity to carry out advocacy and advise clients. You will also have access to internal and external training where you will learn all about personal injury/the law of tort.

We also have an excellent in-house training programme specifically designed for graduate paralegals which is conducted by one of the experienced Partners.

About you

  • Firstly we ask that you have a genuine interest in this area of Law.
  • We also require you to have a Law Degree.

The team

You will be working in a team of 20. Including our specialist fee-earners, expert paralegals, fantastic new business advisors and admin support.

Many of the team have worked at Stephensons for years, having a wealth of experience in different roles, therefore you can expect lots of support from all team members!

You will also have regular supervision meetings with the solicitor you work for, along with a buddy at the same level who will help them settle in.
