    Ministry of Sound Records is a global entertainment record label. Over the last ten years the label has established an exciting roster of talent, successfully launching the careers of acts such as Eric Prydz, DJ Fresh, Example and Wretch 32 to name a few. The label’s current roster of artists includes BRIT-nominated and Ivor Novello-winning group London Grammar, whose albums have sold over three million copies globally, Riton and Sigala, as well as exciting new artists such as Regard, dodie, Franky Wah and Tia Carys.     The Role

    Each member of the Ministry team’s contribution is valuable, and all opinions are respected so as an intern you’re not going to be expected to just look after the admin and assist the team, you have the opportunity to add your ideas to artist social and digital campaigns and see them come to life. As a label we have a real family vibe and being in the digital team we get to work quite closely with the marketing team and we also get to work with with the ministry curations team so we can cross promote our artist campaigns on Ministry playlists, socials and YouTube channel.

    The Team

    Ministry of Sound is a small but fast paced label, we pride ourselves on having a more non-traditional indie label ethos while delivering hits on a major label scale. Working in a smaller team will give you the opportunity to get stuck into campaigns and learn more on the job, gaining hands on experience and knowledge of the digital landscape.

    What you’ll do

    • You will be accountable for administration and coordination within the Digital Marketing team.
    • You will establish yourself as a point of contact for any queries relating to these areas by forging strong relationships across the business and with external contacts.
    • Assist the Social Media and Digital Marketing Manager in coordinating all artists’ promotional and marketing activity including but not limited to asset creation and delivery, organisation, weekly reporting, travel booking and general housekeeping of artist channels.
    • Assist with day to day management of artists Social media accounts and playlists
    • Assist in digital advertising operations and managing budgets.
    • Raise POs and maintain a campaign budgets for digital marketing spends
    • Be proficient with analytics tools (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Spotify and Google) and maintain weekly reports
    • Present developments and success metrics of all social and CRM activity in team and digital meeting, as well as help building reports and sharing with wider teams.
    • Attend digital, label and sales meetings to find out about forthcoming releases, campaign updates, etc. Take minutes and isolate action points
    • Keep abreast of market developments, competitors’ marketing campaigns, new technologies, market conditions, interesting creative ideas, new trends

    Who you are

    • This role would suit a creative thinker with an interest in digital and social media within the music ecosystem who has a passion to learn and develop their skills in a forward-thinking label.
    • A strong comprehension and personal use of social media and streaming platforms is key to this role and will help in your day-to-day responsibilities. An interest in digital marketing is preferred as well as general knowledge of artists on the scene or in the charts.
    • Eager to learn and grow within the digital music ecosystem
    • Excellent and enthusiastic communicator
    • a team player who can be relied upon to participate as needed during busy periods
    • a proven self-starter who can take initiative and work objectively as well as in a team.
    • Experience (even self-taught) using editing software, website CMS’, CRM sites like Mail Chimp are all a bonus to have as well.
    • Highly organised and can multi-task while remaining calm under pressure with ability to prioritise.
    • Strong knowledge of MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc
    • Can confidently deal with people at all levels internally & externally.

    Things to note

    • We do not require you to have a degree or qualification in order to apply for this internship but you do need to be over 18+.
    • The start date for the programme will be in January 2022
