Somerset Bridge have a brilliant opportunity for recent graduates to join our growing motor claims department from September 2024. We seek dynamic and innovative individuals who are keen to join a fast-paced organisation, which must adapt quickly to market developments and legislative changes.
The Role
Successful applicants will progress through various claims departments, handling claims from first notification to settlement. Including but not limited to, own damage claims, fraud, policies, credit hire, and personal injury. Throughout your role as a graduate and thereafter, further personal development opportunities are available, which include industry recognised qualifications. Your Chartered Insurance Institute exams will be supported and funded by the business, as well as Manager development training.
During the 24-month programme you will have a personal mentor to guide and support you through the early stages of your career. Applications are welcomed from all graduates, regardless of degree subject.
Previously successful applicants who have progressed through this programme have gone on to hold positions within our organisation at senior handler level, management, Senior management level as well as Heads of Department.
As part of the 2-year rotation you will receive a £1,000 increase each year. Giving you a salary of £27,000 at the end of the 2 years.
Required Skills/Experience
- Currently hold or are on track to obtain a 2:1 or above (or equivalent)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Effective negotiating abilities
- Willingness to adapt and to flex with change
- Motivated to learn and be challenged
- Poses data analytical skills, decision making and assertiveness
- Ability to work proactively and to tight deadlines
- Showcase consistent due diligence in own work
