We are looking for an inside sales trainee/intern who is a high-energy, highly-motivated individual with excellent communication skills in the Bristol, UK area to find new prospective customers for AxSTREAM® computer simulation software.

This position involves doing market research, internet and social data mining, and cold calling and email potential prospects. This role actively interacts with engineers on our technical sales team.

The position is a temp position for 3-6 months. Trainees may be offered a permanent position based on performance evaluations made upon completion of the training period.

Job responsibilities

  • Responsible for setting up appointments for engineering team by conducting research, sending emails and making phone calls
  • Conduct industry, company and prospect research through online tools and scientific publications
  • Engage our engineering staff for support with prospect calls, application questions and other various resources
  • Maintain and track records of calls, appointments and field marketing event attendance
  • Manage field marketing activities for prospects including but not limited to executing activities such as event preparation, marketing, attendance and follow-up

  • Self-motivated and persistent work ethic
  • Must have a great, positive attitude
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Prepared for prospecting, researching and outbound phone calling
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Proficient use of the internet, social media and Microsoft Office
  • Interest to learn technical/product knowledge

Additional qualifications desired

  • Knowledge of engineering simulation products
  • Experience with inside sales
  • Experience with delivering a sales pitch to a cold prospect
  • Experience in effective market research
  • Experience with LinkedIn and CRM tools
