Simon-Kucher is a global consultancy firm with more than 2,000 employees in 27 countries. We’re focused on delivering measurable revenue and profit growth for our clients.
We do this by optimizing their pricing, sales, and marketing strategies better and more sustainably than anyone else. With over 35 years of experience in a vast range of monetization topics, our experts work across all industries and for businesses both large and small.
Our projects increase our clients’ profitability by an average of 100 to 500 basis points, and we are regarded as the world’s leading pricing advisor.
We are now looking for internship candidates who are interested in learning more about a career in commercial strategy consulting. We will host several placements during Summer 2023 within our UK business.
The Role and its Impact
Internships usually last between 8-12 weeks and are designed to expose individuals to working on client projects and pricing strategy. Responsibility is given from the outset, and every intern is a valued member of a project team.
Throughout your time at Simon-Kucher & Partners, you would contribute to analysis and results and can benefit from working alongside our experienced Consultants, Managers, Directors and Partners.
We have adopted hybrid working, and you can expect to mix your work location between our London office and the option to home work for an element of your time – though we do encourage interns to make the most of time with their teams (whether this be virtually or face to face).
What you bring
- Strong academic background, including degree level study – we expect you to be tracking a 2:1 or higher
- Excellent communication skills
- High percentile numeric, deductive and inductive reasoning skills
- A strong desire to work in a fast paced commercially agile environment
- Enthusiasm, curiosity and a belief that you can achieve the best results
We offer internships to candidates from a variety of undergraduate subject backgrounds – what you bring with you enables you to thrive and helps us to continue to grow. Exposure to consulting within a student society is not required, but you will need to evidence your interest in commercial strategy clearly in your application.
What we offer
You will be paid above the London real Living Wage.
Simon-Kucher & Partners is growing. This results in an entrepreneurial and inspiring work environment with lots of responsibilities and a steep learning curve.
Internships are the main route we use to recruit entry level Consultants to our London office, so if you perform well during your time as an intern, there is a real opportunity to continue your career with us.

- Excellent communication skills
- High percentile numeric, deductive and inductive reasoning skills
- A strong desire to work in a fast paced commercially agile environment

In your cover letter, we will also be looking for your answer to “Why Simon-Kucher & Partners?”, we would also like you to include an example of a product or business that has caught your eye because of its smart pricing strategy. Steer clear of Apple, Netflix, Uber and Easyjet… we’ve heard about all of those many times. Your application will be considered incomplete if you do not include this.
If your application is progressed, expect an early stage online selection test to demonstrate your numeric, deductive and inductive reasoning skills. This would be followed up with an HR interview for top performing candidates, and then for our final stage we would hope to provide the opportunity to meet in person.
You need to submit your application by midnight, Sunday 8 January. Note that we will not be contacting any candidates in relation to next steps prior to the closing date. We then expect that our final stage selection process will take place in early February.
