We are currently looking to grow our Commercial Finance team  in Leeds, and have an opportunity for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join on a permanent basis.

    Commercial Finance Analyst

    The Commercial Finance team business partners the Sales and Marketing teams to drive, support, challenge and advise on commercial decision making within the business. The team is critical to delivering business objectives through accurate and timely performance reporting, robust sales and profit forecasts and high-quality analysis and insight.

    The Commercial Finance Analystwill be responsible for supporting and developing the business’ performance reporting requirements with a focus on our core UK business. Reporting to the Commercial Finance Director - EU Retail you will take joint ownership for all reporting requirements critical to driving business performance and support with day to day requirements of the various business partners.

    The role would suit an ambitious AAT qualified / CIMA part qualified candidate with 18 months + of industry experience and a desire to complete their CIMA studies and progress within a fast paced, rapidly growing business.     Duties and responsibilities

    Business Partnering

    Working closely with Account Managers, supporting with commercial decisions through provision of actionable insight and challenging assumptions

    Performance Reporting

    Owning and developing the process of all reporting, taking responsibility for accuracy of the reporting

    Monthly Forecasting

    Supporting the Commercial Finance Manager to generate accurate forecasts that are based on robust data and assumptions

    Data maintenance

    • Ensuring all data is accurate, consistent, and that the data capturing process is reliable and efficient for both the UK and EU
    • Monitoring and reporting of market pricing
    • Control, maintenance and reporting of the sales discount allowances for retailers
    • Administration and communication of promotion calendars
    • Ad hoc analysis and support as needed

    About you

    • AAT or CIMA part qualified with a desire to complete qualification
    • 18 months + experience within industry, preferably FMCG or retail but other backgrounds will be considered
    • Intermediate or above MS Excel
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Strong communication skills
    • Eagerness to learn and can do attitude
