    We have a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate Design Engineer to join our team as part of our 2025 Graduate Scheme.

    Our graduate scheme offers you the opportunity to develop the skills required to take the next progressive steps in your career whilst delivering award winning steelwork structures. We work across all market sectors, our projects include the new football stadiums for Tottenham Hotspur & Everton, The Shard, and projects linked to nuclear and renewable energy.

    This is an exciting opportunity to work in our Design & Build business unit, alongside experienced Engineers and Technicians delivering some of the countries biggest distribution hubs and industrial units. The Design & Build nature means you will have a greater influence on projects, working closely with Project Managers, Production, and Site-based colleagues, giving an all-round experience to deliver projects on time and to budget.

    Vacancy details

    In the Graduate Design Engineer position you will be given the opportunity to develop your abilities and confidence in our Design department, working on iconic projects. You will also be able to spend time in various departments, including Pre-Construction, Commercial, Project Management, and a period on site. This will allow you the valuable experiences to contribute towards your professional career.

    The scheme will last 4 years, and successful completion should provide you with a well-rounded foundation for achieving chartered status with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) or the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE).

    We are looking for someone with a relevant Civil or Structural Engineering BEng with a minimum of a 2:1 & ideally you will be studying a master’s in Civil Engineering.

    We are looking for great communicators with a positive attitude and willingness to learn. Resilience, innovation & determination are among the key characteristics of a great Design Engineer.

    This position is based at our site in Sherburn, Malton & candidates must be able to commute here daily.
