    Sports Interactive are looking for a talented Animator to join their team on an initial 6-month internship, to work on the Football Manager franchise. This role would be ideal for a student or recent graduate however formal qualification is not required and the role would also suit self-taught individuals looking for some formal experience.

    As an Animation Intern in the Art & Animation Team, you will be taught to clean up motion capture data to an industry standard and be responsible for assisting the Animation team with processing real motion capture data from professional footballers to prepare it for integration to the game.

    You will join a passionate and flourishing team who care deeply about Football Manager, its quality and accuracy as the world’s leading football management simulation game.

    A successful candidate will be a dynamic and self-motivated individual, with excellent communication skills, able to complete work independently as well as part of a team.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Working in Motion Builder to clean up motion captured animations to a game-ready standard
    • Refining your skills as an animator by asking questions, practicing industry standard techniques and seeking feedback on your progress
    • Be part of the team – gaining experience working in a professional game development environment

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience

    • Understanding of and passion for videogame development
    • Experience with using Autodesk Maya or 3DS Max as a student and the ability to animate a rigged character
    • Existing experience with Motion Builder would be an advantage
    • Good time management skills
    • Self-motivated with a drive to improve yourself and others continuously
    • Ability to work remotely in a fast paced, dynamic and collaborative environment
    • Attention to detail
