Sefton Council is seeking to recruit a Data Analyst to join its central Business Intelligence & Performance Team, supporting data analysis and reporting for the homelessness, asylum seeker, refugee and welfare rights service.
The role
Technical experience and practical ability to analyse and report data using MS Excel, T-SQL, and Microsoft Power BI, are pre-requisite essentials. You will be required to analyse data from the Council’s homelessness case management system, Jigsaw (MRI Software) and other data sources, assist with statutory government returns, produce monthly performance reports, and respond to ad-hoc requests for data. Experience of using the Jigsaw system is highly desirable. However, full training can be given. You will also need to demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills, to work closely with others in the Council’s homelessness, asylum seeker, refugee and welfare rights service areas to help to drive data analysis and performance management.
About you
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about data and analytics and enjoys problem solving. A degree or equivalent in an analytical discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent practical experience would be advantageous.
If you are unsure that you meet all of the specific requirements but feel you would be a good fit for the position, then please do apply. We are looking for someone that is willing and eager to learn.
This is a great opportunity to develop your expertise, working on high profile issues as part of a dynamic and supportive professional team.
