    Job Summary

    A great opportunity has arisen in our Commercial Land Management team for an enthusiastic and commercially-aware graduate level/trainee Chartered Surveyor to help us drive forward our ongoing property disposals programme and the delivery of property management services for an asset portfolio covering the whole of Scotland.

    The Commercial Land Management team’s key aim is to support the Scottish Water Strategic Plan for 2021-27 and its Strategic Ambitions of Great Value & Financial Sustainability, Beyond Net Zero and Service Excellence through proactive management of its property asset base.

    The role will be a combination of working alongside the existing team as well as providing opportunities to show initiative in dealing with specific cases and enquiries relating to all aspects of Property management & disposals, dealing with customer enquiries; preparing sites for planning applications and sale; leases and rent reviews, and enabling renewables projects.

    Who we're looking for

    You’ll be someone who genuinely understands what outstanding customer service is all about. You’ll have really good numeracy and digital skills, particularly the use of Sharepoint, and hold a full current driving licence.

    A knowledge of, and preferably, some experience of property transactions and asset management will be advantageous while you’ll be able demonstrate that you have initiative and the ability to prioritise your own workload whilst also being a committed team player.

    The position will offer excellent opportunities to gain an in-depth understanding of property consultancy work in the commercial and rural sectors in a dynamic and results-driven working environment.

    It will be well suited to graduates in property-related disciplines seeking to prepare for their Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) to become full members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and to begin a career in property management.

    Support and mentoring will be provided in this regard.
