RPS is currently seeking a Graduate Trainee to join our dynamic Legionella and Indoor Air Quality team within the Health, Safety and Risk Division. The role is based in the London office and on-site, with travel primarily within the London area, though travel may extend across the UK or Internationally.

    We have been delivering independent legionella risk assessment, consultancy and training for over 30 years and deliver market leading technical advice with a pragmatic, solution focused approach. Our long-term relationships with a number of large multinational clients to provide independent legionella consultancy services including legionella risk assessments, training and sampling in over 50 countries.

    What you’ll be doing

    This is an exciting role for an individual looking for something different and challenging in a fast paced environment. Where you will get a chance to work on your own and with others representing the company in this client facing role. Whilst the work is the same, the day to day of different clients and different sites can bring different challenges.

    Duties include

    • Conducting physical inspections and assessments of assets at client sites e.g. water tanks and air handling units.
    • Performing water temperature measurements and sampling from outlets.
    • Completing air quality testing within indoor environments.
    • Auditing client logbooks across both paper-based folders and digital platforms.
    • Providing consultative advice to clients aimed at enhancing their operations.
    • Crafting high-quality reports reflecting site visit findings under strict deadlines.

    Who we’re looking for

    • Degree/ HND ideally in a Science-based subject.
    • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting, ladder use and remaining on your feet throughout the day.
    • Commitment to consistently delivering high-quality work.
    • Professional demeanour in all client interactions.
    • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
    • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team.
