    The role

    Our Graduate Transport Planners provide assistance with the production of technical studies and drawings within the Mobility & Infrastructure Advisory Group. The role demands a proactive approach in a team environment and offers substantial opportunity for supported career progression within the company.

    You’ll be intrinsically curious about how transport interconnects with society and the environment, and be motivated to become technically excellent. Our graduates are a core part of our high performing team and as such you will gain considerable experience on a variety of interesting and challenging projects; large and small.

    Responsibilites

    • Provide technical input to larger projects.
    • Qualitative analysis of data for projects.
    • Prepare technical notes and sections of larger reports.
    • Prepare/ review infrastructure design concepts based on current UK design standards (e.g. DMRB).
    • Research guidance, best practice and technical papers to support the team to develop the best solutions for our clients.
    • Knowledge of planning and design processes in relation to the Town & Country Planning Act, or Development Consent Order applications.
    • Working with our team to develop transport solutions to serve and benefit clients.
    • Contributing to the technical development of the transport function in the UK.

    Requirements

    • You are confident CAD use in preparing preliminary highways design
    • You are confident in using Excel
    • You are structured writing (developing an argument)
    • You are proactive and independent learner
    • You have great attention to detail in generating accurate work
    • You have a Civil Engineering or Geography Degree preferred but not essential
