The Role
As Assistant Accountant, you'll be an integral part of the finance function, collaborating with qualified accountants to ensure the successful delivery of various financial tasks. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the preparation of management accounts
- Compiling a variety of internal and external reports
- Crafting balance sheet reconciliations
- Managing the preparation and processing of journals
- Handling intercompany agreements
- Processing payroll files and related activities from a bureau
- Creating vendor payment templates
- Preparing various tax returns and computations, including corporation tax and VAT
- Engaging in treasury activities
- Ensuring compliance with various financial regulations
- Undertaking ad hoc tasks as necessary
Your role will be dynamic, allowing you to experience a diverse range of activities, with cross-training opportunities to foster growth within the team.
Your Profile
- Prior experience in a Finance department or an Accounting & Finance graduate
- Proficiency in IT skills, particularly in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Adaptability to evolving customer requirements
- A willingness and aptitude for learning and acquiring new skills
- Proven ability to meet strict deadlines
- An Accounting or Finance degree / AAT qualification is highly desirable
