About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Assistant Management Accountant who is looking to train and develop their skills. Full training and support will be given.

You will join our Finance team in Eastleigh, reporting to the Industrial Planning, Controlling & Reporting Manager. You will be responsible for accounting activities associated with the Wrexham Cable and Components Plants. There will be a requirement to travel to the Wrexham site on an occasional basis, to attend meetings and operational reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Co-ordination and production of timely and accurate monthly Management Accounts, reporting information both for the internal Management team and for submission to HQ and other external reporting requirements.
  • Providing Manufacturing & Logistics Managers with explanations for the financial performance, identifying potential problems and opportunities.
  • Review and provide commentary on variance analysis for Manufacturing and Logistic costs for Senior management.
  • Detailed Evaluation of the inventory for the Plants.
  • Assisting in the preparation of the Operations and Logistics annual budgets.
  • Preparing information for audits and liaising with auditors.
  • Carrying out ad-hoc projects for other members of the Finance Management team.

Qualifications & requirements

  • Ideally hold experience within a similar position within accounting.
  • Preferably be a qualified accountant, or working towards, or with an interest in gaining in future(CIMA, ACCA).
  • Confident and self-motivated team player, possessing excellent communication skills together with strong organizational ability.
  • A flexible approach will also be required in order to meet demanding deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical and advanced Excel skills, as well a good knowledge of other Microsoft Office products.
