Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, are now recruiting for a 1st/2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join our growing IT team and support our Gloucestershire based sites.

    About the role

    Your role will be broadly split between providing 1st/2nd line technical support to our internal staff and Application system administration. You will undertake analysis, diagnosis and resolution of staff problems, which may range from straightforward to more complicated technical issues. There is also a range of administration duties within this role both on the Service Desk and Application systems. This role is to support both IT and Applications across the RoW. You'll manage correspondence through our IT service desk and will maintain our asset database.

    About you

    You'll be an excellent communicator with prior Incident Management and Service Desk experience. Strong organisation and problem solving skills are a must for this role, as well as the ability to work proactively. You will also need strong knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems such as Windows 7/10, Server 2008/2012/2014 and Microsoft Office 2016. ERP skills and experience using and troubleshooting 0365 within a network environment are required as well.

    Please note that this role will support multiple sites around Gloucestershire so a full UK Driving Licence is essential for this role.
