This role is ideal for professionals or graduates who enjoy working with large data sets, have an interest in statistical modelling and would relish the opportunity to be involved in the data reporting process for both internal and external clients, as well as contributing to the thought leadership and application of data driven solutions to wider business needs.
Responsibilities
- Uncover great insights that inform our clients decision making through regular and bespoke reporting. The Data Analyst identifies the key brand and market trends through interrogation and the manipulation of complex data sets.
- Work independently and as part of a team to create blueprints for new methodologies and drive improvement to existing products delivering a first-class service to the broader business.
- Working closely with experienced Senior Analysts, you will rapidly develop your technical skills to ultimately play a crucial role in the delivery of outstanding market intelligence.
- Collaborate closely with different teams in a culture that celebrates the exchange of ideas and encourages innovation. You will work with internal stakeholders, consulting on analytical projects and presenting solutions to teams with varying degrees of technical knowledge.
- Keep up to date with industry news and understand the company’s goal to provide expert data and creative insight. You will play a pivotal role developing new services, helping to shape the next stage of growth for the company.
Requirements
- Educated to degree level in a STEM subject (or equivalent).
- Ideally some experience in SQL and/or Python coding languages.
- Comfortable with basic statistical methods such as Measures of Central Tendency, Correlation, Logistic Regression, Non-linear Regression and Hypothesis Testing.
- Confident mining data from various data sources, interpreting it and communicating findings numerically and in written form in layman’s terms.
- Interest in data visualisation and storytelling with data, knowledge and experience in Excel and Power BI is desirable but not essential.
- Passionate about building strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Has a love of the out of home industry and is curious about the products sold in bars and restaurants as well as the people who visit them.
- Intelligent, ambitious, and highly motivated individual.
- Enjoys working autonomously and is a strong team player.
- Confident and articulate. Will be required to speak, present, and contribute to groups within the company. May occasionally be required to discuss projects with clients.
Must have an analytical and investigative mind, with a strong ability and desire to learn.
