    An exciting opportunity has now arisen within the Central Cornwall Agency, based out of our Truro or Liskeard office.

    About the role

    As part of our sales team, you will play a key role in the growth of the business. You will be responsible for development of a sales pipeline, self-generating appointments and strengthening our brand as a Commercial insurer by building relationships with key decision makers.

    By liaising with colleagues, you will provide advice and quotations to customers and will win new business that is aligned to our risk appetite.

    As well as selling commercial insurance you will cross-sell the full range of NFU Mutual insurance products, as well as generating leads for financial services and risk management services.

    You will manage relationships with existing customers, handling renewal negotiations and delivering against retention targets.

    • You will have a solid understanding of the commercial sales environment. We provide an extensive training programme designed to give you everything you need to understand insurance and sell our products, you just need to bring the natural flair for sales and the commitment to learn.
    • A pro-active and charismatic individual with the drive, energy and enthusiasm required to learn quickly and provide a first-class experience to our existing and prospective clients
    • An ability to articulate the added value we bring clients through our products and customer service, rather than selling on price.
    • An articulate candidate who uses good grammar and pays attention to detail.
    • Someone who is IT literate and comfortable using a Client Relationship Management System.
    • The ability to manage your own workload and prioritise accordingly
