About the project
Morgan Sindall Engineering Solutions (MSES) is an in-house engineering design consultancy providing permanent and temporary works design for above and below ground structures, geotechnical services, design management, and digital engineering services to the Highways, Nuclear, Energy, Water, Aviation, Rail, Construction, Housing and Fit out businesses within the Morgan Sindall Group.
Acting as a ‘center of excellence’ for our projects, our team of engineers understand their role in providing sustainable infrastructure. We advise our clients on carbon reducing products and methods for constructing within a safe by design culture. By applying life cycle forward thinking we not only develop solutions for the overarching contract programme; we also add value to the detailed aspects, advising and recommending practical ways to enhance overall delivery, identifying and minimising risks while embedding best value throughout each project.
What will you be doing?
- Undertaking civil and structural design and checking work on a wide variety of projects and providing other professional services with guidance.
- Interacting with client contacts for the designs you deliver recognising that the customer comes first.
- Ensuring that high standards are maintained from yourself and others that you interact with within the MSES team.
- Have the opportunity to undertake site-based roles as appropriate to help develop you as a more rounded and effective engineer.
- Be supported to work towards a professional qualification with an approved industry body.
What qualifications do I require?
- An accredited BEng degree but preferably MEng in either civil or structural engineering at lower second or above
- Ability to travel or drive to remote site locations if needed
- Ideally some exposure to a construction/engineering environment
