Are you currently in your penultimate or final year of undergraduate study? Are you interested in a teaching career? Why not spend two weeks at Midhurst Rother College experiencing what it is like to inspire and change the lives of students. After successfully running the Internship in 2024, we are pleased to be offering the experience again this year.
The role
The two weeks will be between Monday 23th June – Friday 4th July 2025.
During your two week placement, you will;
- Experience different roles within a school and education.
- Have a designated mentor to help you and develop your understanding of the education setting.
- Experience the classroom setting, by observing teachers within different subject areas, as well as your own subject specialism. You may even get an opportunity to co-teach with your mentor!
About you
We would love to hear from you, no matter what your degree. We can offer an internship in a number of subjects, and it may be that your degree would be suitable for teaching a subject that you may not have considered!
Most importantly, you will have a genuine interest in a teaching career, but we will look for the following in applicants;
- On track to achieve at least a 2.2 in an Honours Degree.
- Personable, approachable and a good sense of humour.
- Kind, patient and able to work as a team.
- A willingness to learn.
About us
Midhurst Rother College serves students from 11 to 19 years of age. Midhurst Rother College is situated in the market town of Midhurst at the heart of West Sussex. The College has a very large rural catchment area of 400 square miles, drawing students from a wide and varied landscape, made up of small villages, hamlets and two market towns, all on the doorstep of the South Downs.
Our vision for Midhurst Rother College was created by all staff and students in December 2016. As a community, we agreed that we would promote respect, achievement, and happiness to underpin the culture of our college.
