We are seeking to recruit a passionate and engaging Graduate Environmental Advisor to join our growing team located in our Bellshill office. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start their career within the Environmental & Sustainability sector and develop themselves professionally to become a key asset to the SHEQ team and to the Company.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our fast paced and growing Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Team (SHEQ) to train to become an Environmental Advisor. Your role as a Graduate Environmental Advisor will be to assist the Environmental team on a variety of projects, helping to promote a positive SHEQ culture within the Company.

As Graduate Environmental Advisor you will also be responsible for:

  • Working alongside the Environmental Advisors, to promote and encouraging high standards of compliance throughout the business
  • Remaining up to date with current legislation and changes to group policies and procedures, supporting the Environmental Advisors to effectively communicate across the business
  • Assist the Environmental team to provide operational support to all levels within the business
  • Assisting with auditing and site visits to measure environmental performance
  • Collection of data for Carbon foot-printing
  • Aid with the development of Environmental initiatives to promote and improve Environmental  compliance

Qualifications

Essential

  • A qualification within an Environmental field is required

Desirable

  • Prior relevant experience and a background working within Construction or Environmental/Sustainability Sector will be advantageous

Experience

  • An interest in developing your career within an organisation with a strong SHEQ culture who are keen on internal progression
  • An interest in promoting Environmental standards within the business.
  • IT literate
  • A hard-working attitude and a willingness to develop which will include revising for and taking additional related qualifications

No previous experience is necessary (as training will be provided), however a Qualification in an environmental is required. Due to the nature of the role, some travel will be required throughout the UK.
