The role

As a Michelin Culinary Graduate at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London, you will be responsible for:

  • To ensure that all food is cooked and presented to excellent quality as devised by the Senior Chefs.
  • To work under the direction of the Senior Chefs
  • To clean and maintain all kitchen areas, including equipment and tools to Safe and Sound standards.

The Michelin Culinary Graduate Programme provides the following opportunities to build a career for life:

  • Rotation across different sections within the Dinner by Heston Kitchen.
  • Increasing responsibilities with every rotation.
  • Cross exposure in other F&B departments and kitchens within the hotel, including our Hotel main kitchen (Banqueting, In room dining & Rosebery) and our Japanese Izakaya, The Aubrey.
  • Key projects to lead
  • Mentorship programme with a seasoned and experienced senior chef in the hotel.
  • Be part of the Hotel's Social Committee, MOCare

As a Michelin Culinary Graduate, you will be working on a rotating shift basis, Monday to Sunday, 55-60 hours a week. Shift patterns will vary based on business needs (including weekends and bank holidays), so flexibility is required where applicable.

To be a successful Michelin Culinary Graduate candidate, you will have experience within a high volume and fine dining kitchen and are passionate & ambitious about growing within an innovative culinary environment. You will have completed or are in your final year completing a degree in Culinary Arts Management.
