The role
We are looking for a highly motivated and versatile individual to provide support to our team of project geologists and geo environmental engineers. You will underpin the planning, delivery and management of geoenvironmental site investigations and associated reporting for major industry clients and will initially involve undertaking UK based site work. No previous experience is required, as full training will be provided.
What you'll do
- Carry out and supervise the company’s fieldwork operations
- Assist project and senior staff in data and report preparation
- Organise and coordinate project resources, including suppliers and subcontractors, to enable efficient timescales
- Demonstrate an understanding of project objectives and rationale
- Use software and technical guidance documents for the assessment of data to determine the required outcome for the project or assignment
- Adhere to and model high Health and Safety standards, in line with Company procedures
- Commitment to develop personal CPD
- Develop your working knowledge of relevant geo-environmental legislation, standards and guidance
- Develop your working knowledge of the design of conceptual models and thought
- Professional communication with colleagues and all stakeholder
- Site evaluation for tender and desk study purposes
More about you
Knowledge and skills you possess
- Bachelor degree in geology, or geoenvironmental related qualification
- A good understanding of geology and geographical awareness
- Administration skills - ability to input, extract, interpret and record information from computerised information sources
- Clear written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- A proactive approach to problem solving and customer care
- Ability to work calmly and accurately under pressure
- Flexible working as determined by the requirements of the company, with travel around the UK, often with extended hours (overtime will be paid)
- Full UK driving licence
