    Liverpool City Council is delighted to offer an opportunity to join our Finance Graduate Programme. Our training programme offers you an excellent grounding in a variety of roles within our finance team, whilst being fully supported to study a professional accountancy qualification Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA). The programme is designed to give you the experience, knowledge and understanding you need to be a future finance leader in the world of public finance. It will provide you with a rich variety of training and exposure, with opportunities to contribute to many project initiatives and finance activities tailored to your development needs.

    CIPFA Graduate Roles (3 Positions) 3 years fixed term with a starting salary of £30,060

    About you

    For those with a relevant degree, our CIPFA Graduate roles offer an accelerated path to becoming a fully qualified accountant. We are searching for candidates who demonstrate:

    • A strong academic background, preferably with a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
    • Excellent numeracy skills and ability to analyse and evaluate data
    • A commitment to pursuing the CIPFA qualification
    • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Effective time management and organisational abilities
    • Collaborative spirit and the ability to work within a diverse team
