About our programme
Our comprehensive 2-year programme offers a structured skills and career development journey, nurturing the capabilities you need to excel in the technology sector. You’ll experience rotations across key areas, including:
- Project Management – managing timelines, co-ordinating teams, progress reporting
- Business Analysis – analysing system requirements, troubleshooting issues and articulating requirements
- Software Development – writing code, integrating data sources, bug fixing
- Quality Engineering – testing code, automating scripts, identifying issues
- Robotic Process Automation (RPA) – automating processes through software
- Helpdesk / issue resolution – understanding issues, managing resolutions, working with diverse user groups
You’ll contribute to real deliverables, both operational and project-based, working alongside industry experts and sharing your innovative ideas from day one.
Programme structure
- Onboarding: Immerse yourself in Ligentia’s mission, purpose, values, and structure during your initial weeks.
- Grounding: Develop core skills and knowledge at our in-house development centre, learning about our supply chain management platform (using Agile Methodology) and how we enhance customer experience.
- Broadening Your Horizon: Gain a holistic understanding of our operations through visits to warehouses, ports, and customer sites.
- International Placement: In your second year, spend 2-3 months at one of our international hubs, gaining global perspectives and sharing best practices.
- First Assignment: You’ll quickly apply your skills to real-world challenges, with your first assignment launching within a few months, backed by comprehensive support.
- Strategic Project: Collaborate with fellow graduates on a strategic project, presenting your findings to the board.
- Ongoing Support: We are invested in your success, providing access to a buddy, coaching, and mentoring throughout your journey.
Who we are looking for
Essential
- Genuine passion for technology, with strong all-round IT skills.
- Right to work in the UK (unsponsored) until Summer 2027.
- Degree educated (minimum 2:2 degree or international equivalent) ideally in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, or related STEM subjects.
- Ability to commute to our Leeds City Centre office, 4 days per week office based.
- Availability to start the programme in September 2025 (earlier start dates considered).
- Willingness to travel occasionally to UK offices and for the international placement.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently and share ideas.
Desirable
- Experience in software development using languages like C#, C++, Python, or Java.
- Knowledge of data analysis, software development lifecycle, programming experience
