An exciting opportunity within the Buying & Product team at La Redoute UK, where we are looking for a Buyers Assistant to join us on a fixed term contract.

Our Buying team are enthusiastic, committed and strive to be the best. The local buying function is small, as most of the buying is managed from our central HQ in France, however our team are customer-centric in their approach and strive to create a compelling and market leading Homes product offer.

The role

As Buying Assistant you will play a pivotal role in the product setup process. You will need great attention to detail to vet the quality of information given to you by suppliers to make sure products can be setup right and on time. If the products are not on site, we can’t sell them! You will also assist the buying team in making sure ranges are priced competitively versus our competitors and will take pride in ensuring the content for these ranges gives our customers the best experience on site by providing all the relevant content they need to make their purchase.

In addition to the normal bits you will be driven to do whatever it takes to assist the buying team make your product ranges a success. This might be working with the web merch team to look at product presentation, working with UX (user experience) team to try new things to improve conversation, gaining internal support and driving exposure through the marketing & trading team. And generally helping out to get things done!

Responsibilities include

  • Collation of supplier data for new ranges to prepare them for product setup
  • Accuracy of web content
  • Identify and suggest improvements to existing content and customer shopping experience
  • Competitor Analysis
  • Assist in implementation of Supplier marketing campaigns
  • Cross functional working with Stock, Web Merch, Marketing, Finance, Financial Services, Customer Experience
