How you will contribute
We’re searching for a resourceful and enthusiastic Financial Crime Data Analyst, who will be taking a leading role in ensuring that our First Line Financial Crime Team is delivering data-driven enhancements to Kroo’s Financial Crime controls and strategy. You’ll be reporting to the Financial Crime Strategy and Monitoring Manager and working within the Financial Crime Operations Team.

Requirements

Here's what you'll be doing:
- Provide insight analysis on Financial Crime risks.
- Work collaboratively with the rest of the Strategy and Monitoring team to understand financial crime typologies and identify critical data points for monitoring.
- Use SQL, Tableau, Excel, other data warehouses and FinCrime tools.
- Analyse the performance of financial crime monitoring systems and methodologies and provide meaningful statistical feedback on performance.
- Deliver requirements through producing documented analysis and reports in collaboration with wider data and fin crime teams.
- Interpret the data and present this to support senior stakeholders in order to inform financial crime strategies and solutions.
- Develop dashboards to enable the team to more accurately and effectively monitor key financial crime performance trends and to improve operational processes and forecasting.
- Contribute to the design, test, build and development of wider FinCrime statistics-based models and tools.
- Deliver regular data-driven recommendations to improve the existing effectiveness of financial crime solutions.
Here’s what we are looking for ideally
- Strong data analytical skills
- Experience using Tableau, Excel and writing complex queries in SQL
- Experience in a similar role within a fintech or financial services environment.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Be able to interpret data/MI and provide feedback to improve business processes.
- An inquisitive and proactive attitude.
- The ability to manage a varied workload and meet SLAs.
- An analytical mindset and capable of identifying patterns in large datasets.
- A cooperative character and you enjoy working as part of a dynamic team.
- Experience in a similar role within a fintech or financial services environment.
About Our Process
We can be flexible with the structure of our interview process if someone's circumstances or timescales require it but our general structure is:
- People screen interview - 30 mins
- Technical interview challenge with the hiring manager - 45 mins
- Culture champion interview - 30 mins
- Head of division interview - 45 mins
