At Jones Whyte, Trainee Solicitors are at the forefront of the firm and are key to our continued growth & success.

We are searching for a Trainee who is looking for a career and not just a traineeship along with a healthy and ambitious attitude. You must be willing to learn, grow and develop both personally and professionally.

The role

The Traineeship will be over a period of 2 years where you will start with your first seat in Group Actions.

Our Group Actions team is dedicated to helping people across Scotland pursue justice through group litigation. We bring together individuals who have suffered similar harm or injury and assist them in joining forces to bring the legal claim against a common defendant. Our team handles a variety of complex cases, including personal injury, product liability, financial mis-selling, and consumer rights.

Jones Whyte was one of only four firms in Scotland who successfully pursued a multi-million-pound group claim against Volkswagen in 2022, the first of its kind in Scotland.

You will have the support of an Associate Solicitor and another Trainee Solicitor along with supervising Partner. The team has the assistance of a dedicated Legal Support team who will handle tasks such as mail and court dates.

Career progression and training are important to us and all our staff are supported in their growth within the business. As we grow, we encourage our employees to grow with us and are continually improving our processes and implementing new technology to ensure our employees are supported and clients receive the best service.
