    The role

    As a Legal Assistant within our Legal Support department, you will work as part of a team that provides administrative support to all our legal departments. The team is responsible for collecting, handling and processing all the incoming mail for the firm, saving documents to relevant client files, updating diaries with court dates, filing original documentation and processing outgoing mail. There will also be some call handling when required to support the Solicitors and other fee earners.

    You will be working alongside 6 other Legal Assistants who are supported by the Legal Support Team Leader. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and develop your skills with the potential in the future to move into different roles within the firm.

    Candidates should be pro-active, have excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to handle a variety of different tasks.

    Key responsibilities

    • Processing and scanning the incoming mail
    • Printing and preparing outgoing mail
    • Filing
    • Court diary management
    • Liaising with and providing administration support for Solicitors and Case Handlers
    • Working with the online case management system, keeping records up to date
    • Mailbox management
    • Making calls to clients/courts/other organisations
