    What we do at Jacobs

Our business focuses on providing solutions to future challenges such as climate change, the need for renewable energy, low carbon economies, transportation, and material resource and waste management. While we shape some of the very largest and most challenging landmark projects in the UK and Ireland, we also deliver local projects that protect communities.

    What will you get?

Our Graduate Development Programme is a structured two-year scheme where we provide the framework, mentoring and experiences to help you maximise your skills and ambitions. On joining our scheme in September 2025, you’ll rapidly gain knowledge of how our company works and the impact that you can have to help us move towards a more connected and sustainable world.

    About the opportunities

The Graduate Transport Engineers will join our Transport Planning and Mobility Solutions team which is part of our Cities & Places business unit. We can create thriving places across different scales: from regions to cities, neighbourhoods to sites, by offering an integrated design approach. Our business unit brings together transport planners, engineers, architects, designers, surveyors, urban designers and project managers to provide collaborative and coordinated value design solutions for our clients both nationally and internationally.

Our team skillsets cover the full remit of transport planning across all modes; from active travel, streets design, traffic engineering and junction design, transport policy and strategy. We are interested in hearing from candidates who are keen to develop a rounded set of skills, as well as those who have more specialised interests including but not limited to traffic engineering, active travel scheme design, transformational placemaking, traffic management solutions, and public transport schemes. As part of the team, you will support the development of active travel schemes from options development through to construction, producing document packages and schematic designs based on scope of project, design criteria, applicable codes/standards, and quality control processes.

You will have the support of a mentor, our management team and experts who will help guide your progress. You will also be given the opportunity to pursue relevant business and technical training to support your career development, as well as room to grow your network and knowledge base to create innovative solutions.

We are looking for aspirational Graduate Transport Engineers to join our team and this opportunity is for a role in our Dublin office.
