The Mechanical Engineer will work as part of a skilled team, undertaking the maintenance and repair of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing plant, with a particular focus on their core discipline.
This is a hands-on role requiring technical expertise and a proactive approach to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Key responsibilities include liaising with managers, medical, nursing, and other client staff to support seamless service delivery.

Key responsibilities
- Primarily reactive plumbing work, with general building services tasks
- Monthly maintenance checks on AHUs, Foil Coil Units, filters, and belts
- PPMs, including servicing and mixing valve maintenance
- Mechanical maintenance, repairs, and installations following safety protocols
- Diagnose faults and recommend spares/materials
- Complete reactive repairs within set timescales
- Report work progress daily to the Estates Officer
- Support efforts to reduce downtime and maintenance costs
- Maintain accurate records for reporting and statistics
Professional and personal competencies/qualifications
- Knowledge of HTMs – ventilation, Health Technical Memoranda beneficial but not essential
- Someone looking to progress and lead on-site in the future
- Facilities background in a similar environment or office building, completing PPMs and reactive works
- C&G or NVQ Plumbing, Mechanical-based qualifications
