As a mechanical engineer at Ineos O&P, you will be supporting the safe and effective delivery of repairs and modifications to a highly regulated brownfield petrochemical site. You will be embedded within a engineering team giving you the opportunity to learn and develop your skills.
We have high volumes of integrity repairs to maintain the safe operation of aging assets. You will get exposure to design standards and industry codes. You will also get the opportunity to gain invaluable site experience – witnessing and supporting construction, inspection and maintenance activities.
About the role
This is a rare opportunity at one of Scotland’s largest manufacturing sites – with a business that has already made a commitment and is actively working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from its operations in Grangemouth by more than 60% by 2030. As part of our road map to target net zero by 2045, we are already making significant investments in emissions reduction projects, including more than £1bn to support the production of blue hydrogen. And for the first time in a long time we are looking to offer summer internships for instrumentation and electrical engineering roles.
Successful candidates will be contributing from Day One, working on real projects and gaining invaluable work experience to add to your CV and give you practical examples to draw upon for your final year at University.
An internship with INEOS at Grangemouth offers so much more than you can ever glean from the internet or on line. Engineering is at the heart of our business. You’ll be embedded into one of our experienced teams, mentored and developed, learning all about our culture and business as well as about your engineering discipline. And in return, while you’re with us, we’ll be getting to know you. So when the time comes to apply for a post- Graduate position, if you choose INEOS, we’ll know each other a little better.
