Role Purpose

The role of Quantitative Investment Strategist will support our Global Investment Committee in providing market analysis to help inform investment decision making. The role will also play a key role in supporting Advisory and Discretionary businesses with multi-asset portfolios and investment solutions as well as devising trade ideas, investment strategies and bespoke portfolio solutions to aid our UHNW initiatives.

Key Accountabilities

  • Maintain and enrich the library of economics and markets chart database for investment decision making. Provide associated commentary on an ongoing basis. 
  • Develop and maintain a library of quantitative indicators ans signals to help inform GIC's TAA process. 
  • Produce market commentary and TAA performance attribution and contribution analysis. 
  • Set and update our tactical assett allocation on a monthly basis to reflect the GIC view. 
  • Support the production of various publications. 
  • Provide analytical support to UHNW pitches. 

Requirements

  • 1-2 years experience in a comparable position would be ideal along with a strong interest in global financial markets and investment strategy. 
  • Post-graduate degree in science, engineering, economics, or similar.
  • Strong data analysis and visualisation skills (R, Python, Excel VBA)
  • Ablity to apply predictive analytics in investment strategy context (Statistics, Econometrics, Machine Learning)
  • Ability to apply standard risk modelling techniques in investment strategy context (factor models, stress tests, scenario analysis, etc.)
  • Familiarity with alternative investment strategies such as Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Private Debt, Real Estate etc.
