Global Energy Group have an opening with one of our internal businesses. A well-established architectural practice in Scotland, founded in 1925. The firm operates from three offices located in Tillicoultry, Oban, and Inverness, and provides a comprehensive range of architectural services. Their expertise spans various sectors, including residential, commercial, and social housing developments, as well as leisure, retail, and medical facilities​

Qualification and experience

  • Have gained a postgraduate certificate in professional practice (RIBA Part 3)
  • Registered with the Architect’s Registration Board (ARB)
  • Working in practice experience preferably in developer/affordable residential development

Overview of the role

Graduate Architects will typically work as part of a team, under the control of a Partner and will be expected to assist the team in the design and production of schemes within the office.

Essential duties and responsibilities

Architectural

  • Drawing and sketching design solutions by hand
  • Developing schemes using 2D and 3D computer CAD packages such as Autocad and Revit.
  • Producing 3D images using CAD and rendering packages
  • Producing /maintaining other documents using programmes such as Word, Excel,

PowerPoint and photoshop

  • Participating in design debate
  • Researching products, materials, buildings etc as directed
  • Operating standard filing systems within office for drawings and correspondence

General

  • Assisting in general duties in the office
  • Undertaking all job activities in line with Health and Safety guidance and requirements
