    Please read below about the 4 different positions we are recruiting for across our HR Industrial Placements. Please note, these are distinct placements and so when you apply you will be able to select 3 preferences of where you would like to be placed if successful.     • Role 4: HR Advisor in ViiV Healthcare (GSK house)

    Role 1. Early Talent and DEI Coordinator (GSK House)

    As Early Talent and DEI Coordinator you will be a key member of this global Early Talent team assisting in the attraction, recruitment and development of our early talent cohorts as well as helping to deliver our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) ambition. This role gives you the opportunity to deliver a broad range of objectives – and insight into many areas of HR. Some of the key activities that you will be involved in are:

    • Assisting the recruitment of Early Talent – facilitating and coordinating materials, candidates, assessors and assessment centres
    • Organising and facilitating Early Talent development events for apprentices and graduates
    • Checking in with Early Talent to ensure they are on track to succeed
    • Organising and facilitate STEM outreach activities including Virtual work experience (assisted by existing Early Talent and GSK staff) inspiring the next generation
    • Contributing to our DEI agenda to enable GSK to build a strong and diverse talent pipeline
    • Producing and evaluating metrics (talent / diversity / rotation statistics / retention / succession)
    • Raising purchase orders and invoice management
    • You will also have time and flexibility to explore other areas of HR for your own development which might include learning and development, compensation, employee relations

    We are looking for an organized, proactive person who has great communication skills, will get stuck in, has lots of initiative and the drive to get things done well. You will have a growth mindset, keen to learn and develop new skills. Good Excel skills as well as a STEM and / or business background would be an advantage in this role but all degrees considered.

    Role 2: Early Talent Coordinator (Stevenage)

    You will work with the R&D Early Talent Team to ensure the early talent programmes run smoothly and deliver impact to support GSKs ambition. Working within this team will be fast-paced, exciting and full of opportunities. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the entire lifecycle of our talent programmes through attraction, recruitment, development and offboarding. Not only will you gain plenty of exposure to the HR and Talent organisations, but there will also be great opportunities to expand your knowledge of R&D.

    Some of the key activities that you will be involved in are:

    • On-boarding ~150 R&D Industrial Placement, Apprentice and Graduate students
    • Organise internal and external events virtual and face to face
    • Supporting demand planning, recruitment, selection, development and tracking of future talent programme cohorts and summer students
      • Work with hiring managers to create compelling advertisements and construct internal communications
      • Review and implement recruitment attraction plans
      • Support planning and logistics of assessment centres
      • Assist in collation and tracking of metrics to support recruitment and the diversity agenda
    • Support tracking of budgetary spend
    • Track and update Global/UK/US Careers website with R&D programmes and assist with publishing Internal/external communications
    • Lead after action reviews and implement process improvements
    • Working across boundaries, with colleagues in a multitude of countries to gain global awareness and experience, whilst building a strong network of HR contacts in the UK
    • Learning how to effectively network and how GSK and especially R&D develop early talent

    While the role requires a good level of IT capability, there is an expectation that many of these technical tasks may be development opportunities with training support provided to expand this valuable skill set.

    Role 3. Global Functions HR Projects & Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Placement (GSK House)

    The Global Functions HR Team is accountable for delivering GSK’s people strategy and key people priorities across HR, Legal, Finance to name but a few, so you’ll get the opportunity to get involved in a range of HR activities to support the every-day running of the company and longer-term strategic activities. As the HR Global Support Functions IP you will gain a deep understanding of how HR works in a large company. You’ll work closely with HR Business Partners, UK Inclusion & Diversity Lead and colleagues to support employee working experience and be given clear responsibilities and projects to manage during your placement year and support from a manager throughout.

    Some of the key activities that you will be involved in are:

    • Organising HR training & engagement sessions for the team
    • Facilitate team meetings, leading discussions, using technology and creativity to make them great.
    • Producing and evaluating metrics on volume of cases or queries using our case management systems
    • Partnering with HR colleagues and experts to resolve your own HR “cases” and contributing to the overall HR function performance and support manager and employee HR queries
    • Utilising HR Systems including Workday, Service Now, MS Teams & Workplace
    • Supporting projects for Global UK and Inclusion & Diversity activities
    • Support the maintenance of our UK HR Policies to remain compliant and innovative
    • Take on lead facilitation role on key projects and lead on key process improvements
    • We’re looking for someone with great organizational skills, an eye for detail with good analytical skills. You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written and be competent in Microsoft Office skills.

    Role 4: HR Advisor in ViiV Healthcare (GSK house)

    • ViiV Healthcare is an independent, global specialist HIV company set up by GSK and Pfizer in 2009. We are committed to delivering innovative new medicines for the care and treatment of people living with HIV/AIDS. Our mission is to leave no person living with HIV/AIDS behind. This role will enable you to develop a wide breadth of operational HR Knowledge by leading and supporting a range of global HR.
    • Some of the key activities that you will be involved in are:
    • Organisation and management of HR data on a regular basis
    • Supporting the annual global Employee Engagement Survey
    • Supporting ViiV Healthcare Head Office (HQ) recruitment processes and keeping the ViiV on boarding website up to date
    • Supporting compensation with the global annual Salary Review and Bonus process
    • Supporting the implementation and logistics of the emerging talent (or equivalent) development programme
    • Co-ordinating the 2024 IP recruitment and induction processes for ViiV HQ
    • Updating and evolving the ViiV Healthcare HR Intranet page
    • Supporting the business in using the HR system – Workday
    • Organising the annual HQ ‘Give Back’ days
    • Introductory meetings with new employees
    • Calculating the monthly business HR metrics
    • We are looking for someone who is proactive, confident and solution orientated. You will have excellent organizational skills and will be able to work well both independently and in a team. You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written and be competent in Microsoft Office skills particular Microsoft Excel & Power point.

    What do we offer you?

    • A salary of £21,000 plus a bonus (non GSK House) or a salary of £22,500 plus a bonus (GSK House)
