As a Civil Power Facilitator, you are at the very heart of our operational activity where you will need to draw upon your skills and experience to visibly lead your assigned team of Supply Chain Operations personnel, to safely and effectively meet our commitments to the multiple Customers our Value Stream support.

A Civil Power Facilitator will need to exploit their experience and expertise, allied to drawing upon the skill of others to identify and solve problems, develop workable solutions and then execute the plan to directly support your Team.  You must be able to confidently communicate with your own team, and cross-functionally, whilst ensuring you actively promote a ‘one team’ approach.  You will be able to extract, analyse and present business data to ensure you make timely and informed decisions.  Operationally focused, you will be assigned specific business targets for day-to-day activities for which you will be held responsible, and you must motivate and inspire your team to strive towards achieving.

To achieve success in the Facilitator role you will:

  • Provide day-to-day operational leadership and management focused towards the achievement of assigned goals with respect to EHS, Quality, Cost, OTD, manpower and Compliance.
  • Promote a Safe culture whilst delivering the highest Quality products to maintain our airworthiness requirements.
  • Ensure equipment calibration and safety Inspections validity is maintained at all times.
  • Work cross-functionally to resolve near-term manufacturing challenges and mitigate the risk they present to meeting our Customer commitments.
  • Ensure communication of key business and customer information to your personnel and inspire them to achieve the highest levels of output.
  • Tightly maintain the elements of the Value Stream budget you are assigned through achieving cost-effective operational delivery of the Value Stream metrics (Bowler performance) and facilitating the flow of output to meet our Production Plan.
  • Punctually undertake the administrative management of your Team (eg labour voucher accounting, vacation approval, absence management, performance management and health surveillance).
  • Select, hire, train and develop your assigned personnel.
  • Foster a culture of Continuous Improvement within your Team and employ the appropriate methodology eg Lean Six Sigma for changes within our production environment.
  • Actively encourage the flow of Continuous Improvement ideas from your team to identify cost out and process improvement opportunities – act decisively and provide timely feedback with the information you receive from your team.
  • Identify production constraints and bottlenecks, then assist in developing business continuity plans to mitigate the identified risks.
  • Support the Operation and Value Stream Leaders in delivering the strategic plans for manpower, equipment and other resources within the business.

Qualifications / requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college and/or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing leadership role.
  • Competent user of the MS Office application set, especially MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills to exploit business data to inform timely decision making.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrable capability to move beyond this position in the organisation.
