As a Data Science and Software Summer intern you’ll be surrounded by experts in our teams and from our customers, covering software, data, modelling and simulation and in a range of other fields – whether it’s product design, control systems design or human sciences, we’re an interesting bunch.   

The role

This is a Data Science and Software Internship within our Digital stream at Frazer-Nash. You could be joining one of our software, data science, cloud, modelling, analytics or information systems teams. You could be working across any of our markets, including defence, energy, transport, government and others.

Given a blank sheet of paper we are looking for candidates who are able to create the new and the different.

  • A problem solver: You will solve many different technical problems, seeing them from different perspectives and finding solutions which put the customer at the heart of our work. Often our clients aren’t aware of what outcomes best suit their requirements. You will have the ability to explore different options for our clients to ensure we deliver the best outcomes.   

You will need to have obtained a 2:1 Degree or higher (or equivalent/experience) with a related Engineering, Computer Science or relevant scientific bias. You will ideally be in your penultimate year of your degree.    

Due to the nature of the work that Frazer-Nash Consultancy undertake, candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment screening and will be required to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.

Step 2: Measure Potential - Arctic Shores’ task-based assessment. You will be asked to complete some exciting, engaging tasks which will enable us to get to know you better! In return, you’ll receive a personalised feedback report.   

Step 3: Video Interview - Situation based & technical questions that are related to the important criteria needed to be successful on the role.   

Step 4: Explore Interview – This one-hour virtual/in-person interview includes the opportunity to learn about what we do and find out more about what a career at Frazer-Nash has to offer. You will also be asked a combination of competency and technical questions.   

Step 5: Decision/Feedback - You will receive feedback no matter the outcome of your final interview.
