If accepted on to the programme, you will be offered in-depth coaching and support throughout the rest of the EY recruitment process, to help you realise your full potential.

This will be provided across a variety of formats, including group and 1-2-1 coaching sessions, and sign-posting to relevant upskilling tools and material.

EY Empower: Consulting Summer Internships 2022

About the programme

Our Consulting Summer Internships are built for determined, hard-working students who want a real-world view into the kinds of unique challenges we tackle every day.

As a member of our team, you’ll do so much more than learn to advise clients. You’ll explore how decision making plays a vital part in developing strategies and solutions. You’ll gain exposure to large client organisations – even enjoying the opportunity to visit their offices. And you’ll be inspired by the tech-first client-facing approach we take to consulting. This is where we’re building a better working world. And where you can kickstart your future.

What will you be doing?

  • Learning about EY, our clients and their businesses.
  • Sharing your ideas and taking on real responsibility.
  • Developing your soft skills and being supported by your colleagues.
  • Researching industry trends, challenges and solutions.
  • Developing your core consulting and people skills.
  • Contributing to commercial insights and thought leadership for our clients.
  • Working with colleagues across different business areas to deliver multi-disciplinary and cross-geographical work.

How is it structured?

A Summer Internship at EY allows you to develop and acquire new skills, gaining valuable insight into Consulting. Here, you’ll be supported by peers and leaders alike. And you'll gain an in-depth insight into working in a global professional services firm.

Join our supportive and inclusive culture and start working on real client projects as soon as your internship starts. Enjoy the opportunity to shadow one of our partners, build client relationships and benefit from on-the-job coaching as you support in delivering tangible contributions to the work we do. You could be helping a major bank transform entire data management systems or advising a global retailer on how to optimise their supply chain.

Across your five-week summer internship, dive into a variety of activities that will see you pick up brand-new skills, develop your strengths and prepare for tomorrow. Enjoy programme-specific client work, the chance to complete a qualification and even regular lunch and learns – plus get paid for the experience.

As well as contributing to client projects, take on extra learning opportunities that broaden your experience in business, leadership and technology. Why not check out online learning hub too? We host a whole library of training courses on a vast number of topics. So, have a browse and start learning.

Another great EY perk? We offer community days – meaning you can get hands on locally while raising money for the EY Foundation. What’s more, our offices are social hubs fuelled by community spirit. Network, get to know your fellow interns and have fun!

No matter which area you join, the support we offer never wavers. Pair up with a buddy, get career advice from one of our counsellors, and say hello to our early careers team. Everyone is here to give you the best start to your future – so get ready to thrive.
