Equans is looking for a Trainee Social Value officer to join our team in Birmingham. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

  • Supporting the coordination and delivery of Employment and Skills Plans (ESP) within the Central region
  • Assisting the Social Value Manager with event preparation, monitoring progress, and reporting outcomes
  • Ensuring that the company meets its social value commitments and contributes to community investment and development
  • Facilitate, research projects, work experience placements, and workshops in alignment with ESP benchmarks
  • Support/ local focus groups related to construction, education and employment and skills
  • Represent the company at employment and career events to promote EQUANS
  • Attend external events to gather insights on best practices and support the implementation of new initiatives
  • Track and report on volunteering initiatives, updating data in AIMS to meet contractual obligations

Who are we looking for?

  • Basic understanding of the community engagement or the construction industry
  • Strong report and proposal writing skills, with the ability to analyse and interpret data
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the West and East Midlands as required to projects
  • Previous experience in coordinating events
  • A creative background to support the development of case studies
